Establishing a Firm Foothold

Asiaplast 10,000 sqm. plant 1 built on 100,000 sqm. land in Tangerang, west of Jakarta , began commercial production of Flexible PVC Film & Sheet in 1996. Equipped with the latest generation of advanced PVC-making machinery, the plant is specifically designed to provide variable production outputs in the most efficient manners. This is done by ensuring sufficient reserve capacity within our installed capacity of 15,000 metric tons p.a. in order to meet additional demands in excess of our normal production output. This enables Asiaplast to meet virtually any amount of customer orders, even in short notice.

The production flow of Flexible PVC Film & Sheet starts with the raw materials PVC resins, DOP (Dioctyl Phthalate) and various other additives being taken from storage into an automatic weighing equipment, where they are weighed to exact measurement according to production specification. The materials are then processed in mixers, rollers, extruders and calendars. Next, they go into embossing or laminating machinery as specified. All these processes are largely automated, the equipment themselves being controlled by computers, ensuring optimum production efficiency.

Stringent quality control inspection and testing are employed at each stage of the production process, closely supervised by experienced personnel. At Asiaplast, sophisticated technology is combined with international-standard quality assurance system to ensure customer satisfaction.

Attuned with Market Trends and Preferences

Ever sensitive to changing market trends and preferences, Asiaplast has established a second plant, specially designed to produce Artificial PVC Sponge & Leather Sheet products. Entering commercial production only in 1999, our 15,000 sqm. plant 2 is currently capable of annually producing 7,500 metric tons of PVC Sponge & Leather Sheet products, in various designs, colors and textures. Compared to Plant 1, the more recent Plant 2 is equipped with even more advanced machineries, incorporating the latest in PVC leather manufacturing technology.

The production flow of PVC Sponge & Leather Sheet is longer and more complicated than that of Flexible PVC Film & Sheet, but this is more than compensated for by the vastly greater market potential of PVC Sponge & Leather Sheet products. The virtually endless variety of designs, coatings, colors and textures of PVC Sponge & Leather Sheet makes them particularly suitable for a wider range of consumer as well as industrial applications.

As in Flexible PVC Film & Sheet, the integrated production process of PVC Sponge & Leather Sheet, from start to finish, is tightly controlled and supervised to ensure the quality of the end product. Together with research and development work carried out in searching for new and better product, Asiaplast is ensuring that its Flexible PVC Film & Sheet, Artificial PVC Sponge & Leather Sheet products continue to be the preferred brand in its growing markets.

Since 2002, the company has also installed 1 (one) production unit of Rigid PVC Film & Sheet with a capacity of 6,000 MT p.a.
